I knew that I wanted to become a dentist from the time I was twelve years old. There is nothing quite as rewarding as going off to your “hobby” daily. I have never seen it as a job. I have truly been enriched over the past thirty years of practice by sharing in the lives of my patients.
I was born in Anaheim, California. In 1971, I moved to Fullerton with my family. I attended Ladera Vista Junior High School, and graduated from Sunny Hills High School. Later, I attended USC and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1981. I continued my education at the USC School of Dentistry and graduated in 1985 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
While attending Sunny Hills High School, I met my future wife, Laura. Though she is a UCLA graduate and is a die-hard UCLA fan, she attended USC Law School. During a summer school break, we married in 1982. We have a daughter, Mandy and a son, Mike.
My wife Laura and I are avid scuba divers. Over the years our diving travels have taken us to varied locations. We have visited in the Bahamas, Caribbean, West Indies, Central America, Mexico, Palau, Truk Lagoon, Fiji, Philippines and of course, Hawaii. I have been to wonderful places and met people that I would not normally come in contact with. The world is an incredible place.
I continually strive to increase my education in dentistry and I participate in many enriching seminars throughout the year.
