Dr. Sam R. Gharib is an experienced, Board Certified endodontist, and he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Gharib is an expert in endodontic diagnosis, a root canal specialist, an endodontic retreatment specialist, and a root end surgery specialist

Dr. Tassey’s undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Southern California and had a private practice in Irvine since 1982. He is a member of the American Dental Association, The California Dental Association, and The Orange County Dental Society.

Dr. David S. Hahn is a graduate of Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine and a Faculty Member at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Hahn was born in New York City and raised in Newport Beach, California. He is a noted expert and specialist in Advanced Prosthodontics and General Dentistry.

Dr. Pene moved to Irvine from the East Coast in 1987. She attended the University of California, Irvine where she earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology, then continued on to receive her Doctorate in Dental Surgery at UCLA where she graduated with honors.

Dr. David E. Grant earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 2003. While attending USC, Dr. Grant was named a Dean’s Scholar for his high levels of academic and clinical achievements.

Dr. Gouvion graduated from USC School of Dentistry in 1967. After 2 years as a U.S. Navy Dentist, he joined Dr. James Hodge in Irvine. As the first dentists in Irvine, their practices flourished.

Our child patients and parents like to call our children specialist Dr. Dorothy Lin Yokoyama (Dr. Dory). Although born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she fell in love with the city of Irvine while attending UC Irvine.

Dr. Chen has been practicing as a periodontist in California for more than 20 years. He received his dental degrees (National Taiwan University and Loma Linda University), certificate in Advanced Periodontology (University of Pittsburgh), and Ph.D. in Oral Biology (State University of New York in Buffalo) between 1980-1992. Immediately after attaining the degrees, Dr. Chen was invited to teach at the USC School of Dentistry, where he remains as a full-time faculty member.

Dr. Wu Graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 1996 as one of the elites in the class. He devotes himself to advanced post-doctoral study with some of the most renowned dental educators and continuously utilizes the latest techniques and technology to provide the utmost care and precision.

Dr. Melinda Beck grew up in Portland, Oregon. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Dr. Beck graduated from Creighton University Dental School in Omaha, Nebraska with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery.

As a mother herself, Dr. Laura understands how important it is to know that your child is in caring hands. Providing a kind-hearted environment that is gentle and fun, she quickly helps your child feel at ease creating a foundation for a lifetime of healthy habits and choices.

Vickie Y. Ge, DDS is a practicing Dentist in Irvine, CA. Dr. Ge accepts multiple insurance plans including Aetna, Dental Network of America and Guardian Dental.

Dr. Hong is a Southern California native. After graduating from Crescenta Valley High School in La Crescenta, he went on to graduate with honors from the University of California – Los Angeles. Dr. Hong continued his study at the University of California – Los Angeles’ School of Dentistry to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery. Dr. Hong then graduated from Temple University with a Certificate in Orthodontics as well as a Master’s degree in Oral Biology.

Dr. Chow was born in Moses Lake, Washington and grew up in Sacramento, California. He attended UCLA for both undergrad and UCLA School of Dentistry graduating and passing the California State Dental Board in 1976 at the age of 23. He then went into private practice in the city of Irvine and has remained in the same location since 1979.

Dr. Daniel L. Pedersen is a Newport Beach native who has been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry in this area since his graduation from USC Dental School in 1987. After 20 years of perfecting smiles at his former practice, Country Club Family Dentistry in Newport Beach, Dr. Pedersen decided to open Smile Central Dental so that he could offer his patients an even higher standard of care.

Dr. Calvin Dang graduated from UCSF School of Dentistry where he received prestigious awards from the American Academy of Periodontology for his undergraduate studies and academic excellence. Dr. Dang continued a rigorous 3-year post-graduate residency program in Periodontics at UCSF to obtain his specialty degree.

Dr. Jason Wong received his Bachelor of Science in biology, his D.D.S. degree, and Endodontic Residency certificate all from UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Wong distinguished himself by graduating cum laude, Dean’s Honor’s List, UCLA Alumni Scholar, Academic/Community Service Award of the Year, and receiving a sponsored externship by the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.

Dr. Alexander Yuen received his M.S. degree in oral biology in 1993 and orthodontics certification from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1995. Dr. Yuen is a Board-Certified Member Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He specializes in adolescent and adult conventional braces, as well as being a preferred Invisalign® provider.

Dr. Don Niu graduated from the USC School of Dentistry in 1980 and is currently the Director of Irvine Dental Group. Dr. Niu is a member of the American Dental Association and California Dental Association. In addition to maintaining his busy practice, Dr. Niu has been a guest speaker on academic dental issues and subjects in Asia.
