Dr. Steven Shimazu was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He is an Endodontic specialist who received his bachelors degree in Bacteriology from UC Berkeley and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from USC.
In 1985, Dr. Shimazu received his DDS degree from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where he also received the Pierre Fauchard award. Dr. Shimazu practiced general dentistry in Los Angeles for five years before being accepted to the two year endodontic specialty training program at the University of Southern California. Prior to the 1998 opening of his private practice in Claremont, Dr. Shimazu’s clinical endodontic experience included two years devoted to microscope-assisted endodontics.
