Dr. Samuel Berke is a second generation dentist. He followed in his father’s footsteps both by becoming a dentist and by developing the passion to provide dental services to the elderly. This is not an area that most dentists feel comfortable practicing in, but for Dr. Berke it was second nature.
As early as the 1980’s Dr. Berke identified that there was a great need for improvement in the level of dental care practiced for senior citizens, especially those residing in skilled nursing facilities. Having already practiced dentistry on elderly patients in both an office environment and in mobile settings for nearly 10 years, he decided to commit himself full-time to the bedside care of Southern California’s elderly.
