Following completion of her dental education, Dr. Aspis practiced general and cosmetic dentistry in both New York City and Marin County, California. After relocating to Southern California, she joined the faculty of University of Irvine School of Medicine where she assisted in the training of the family medicine residents in oral health issues. Additionally, she treated underserved children at the university affiliated clinic. At this time, she decided to continue her education at a two year post doctoral residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Southern California. Her residency at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and Long Beach Memorial Children’s Hospital included training in pediatric growth and development, pediatric psychology, pediatric anesthesia, genetics and pediatric advanced life support.

Dr. Aspis has served as past president for the California component of the American Society of Dentistry for Children, and as a state board member of the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry. She currently serves as an active member on the California Dental Association specialty peer review committee for pediatric dentistry. Dr. Aspis has published, including an article in the California Pediatrician Journal on early childhood caries prevention. She has lectured to professional societies on treating children with autism and smoking cessation.

Dr. Aspis chose pediatric dentistry in order to provide children with a loving and gentle introduction to a life time of good oral care. Her goal is creating a cavity free generation by starting at age one and educating parents on both oral hygiene and nutritional choices to insure beautiful smiles.

Dr. Aspis is a native New Yorker, and although she still loves her home town, she equally enjoys life in Newport Beach. Her free time is devoted to her wonderful daughter and family. Her interests include international travel, continuing education, politics and reading. She supports Best Friends Animal Society, a national animal welfare organization. She is an active member of National Children’s Oral Health Foundation – an organization that provides education and dental care for underserved children without access to dental care.
