Dr. Samonte-Mora was born and raised in the Philippines. She is the youngest in a family of five and is the only one in the field of dentistry. She obtained her degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1996 at the University of the Philippines, Manila. She ranked No. 4 overall in the Philippine Dental Board Exam. Dr. Samonte practiced dentistry in the Philippines for 5 years before deciding to move the U.S.
