Dr. Bock is a Board Certified Orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an accomplishment he shares with only 30% of his peers. He enjoys over 25 years of experience in the field.
Originally from Vallejo, CA, Dr. Bock tried his hand at a variety of professions, including High School Teacher, Forest Service Ranger and Fireman, before being accepted into the dental program at the University of California-San Francisco. Dr. Bock graduated from UCSF in 1984 and was then accepted into the Master’s Program in Orthodontics at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He graduated with a Master’s Degree in Orthodontics and Orthopedics in 1986, with the publication of his Master’s Thesis in maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Bock chose to specialize in orthodontics because he liked the artistry and personal transformation in creating beautiful smiles. He says, “Envisioning the teeth as they straighten and move into their perfect alignment is, to me, like watching a flower bloom in time lapse photography. There is elegance and simplicity in the creation of a beautiful smile.”
Dr. Bock lives in Brea, CA with his wife, Elizabeth and five children, Katie, Jason, Adam, Andy, and Brian. Dr. Bock enjoys photography and is a nature photographer in his spare time. He also loves playing the guitar, bird watching, hiking, and bike riding.
