Dr. Clara Nguyen grew up in Orange County. She attended elementary, junior high, and high school in the Garden Grove Unified School District. For college, she attended the University of California, Irvine (UCI) where she received a bachelors in psychology and social behavior. She graduated from NYU School of Dentistry in 2006 and went on to receive advanced training in laser dentistry, Invisalign, 6 Month Smiles© and the Pinhole© Surgical Technique.
In her own words on why she chose to become a dentist: “My parents have always instilled in me that there are always people in need of help; and in combination- a smile is always the first thing I look at when I first meet someone. I remember as a kid, I would constantly clean my little brother’s teeth and try to remove plaque with a toothpick all the time. I guess you could say that it was my natural calling to be a dentist.”
When Dr. Clara is not at the office she enjoys staying active- whether at the gym, hiking,or playing tennis, travelling, going to concerts, and spending time with her family and dogs.
